The Role

• As the company continues to expand its operations in Japan, we are seeking an Accountant to join the finance team. This role will be responsible for supporting the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with both local and global accounting standards, and contributing to the smooth execution of monthly and annual closing processes.
• You will report directly to the Finance Manager, Japan, and collaborate closely with both the local business teams and regional headquarters to provide accurate financial reporting and insights that support management decisions.

Main Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and expense management
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities
• Prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with J-GAAP and IFRS standards
• Assist in external and internal audit processes
• Liaise with regional/global finance teams on reporting and system-related matters
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance function

Your Skills

• 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, ideally in a multinational or manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of Japanese accounting principles (J-GAAP); familiarity with IFRS preferred
• Business-level Japanese and English communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and team-oriented attitude
