About the Company;

A reputable organization in the real-estate sector is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join its collaborative finance team. This role offers a supportive, growth-minded environment and exposure to both property-level and corporate accounting functions.

About the Role:

Reporting to a senior finance leader, the Accounting Clerk will assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general support across the month-end process. The position is ideal for an early-career accounting professional, someone eager to learn, ask questions, and grow within a dynamic and down-to-earth team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Enter and process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and reclass entries.
  • Prepare new vendor packages and ensure tax compliance.
  • Retrieve and reconcile daily bank activity.
  • Assist with billing, tenant communications, and year-end billing cycles.
  • Support expense reporting and related month-end tasks.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team on ad-hoc financial projects.

What You Bring:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (coop experience counts).
  • 0–3 years of AP and/or AR experience – either discipline is acceptable.
  • Exposure to the real-estate or property-management industry is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Yardi software preferred (or similar ERP experience).
  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and open communication style.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
