Title: Accounting Manager – Revenue Recognition (Individual Contributor)

Compensation: $125,000–$145,000 base + 20% bonus + RSUs (DOE)
A leading fintech company is seeking an Accounting Manager – Revenue Recognition to join its high-performing team. This is an individual contributor role responsible for ensuring revenue is recognized under ASC 606 while supporting rapid innovation and evolving go-to-market strategies. The ideal candidate has deep technical accounting expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across a fast-paced, complex environment.
Provide technical revenue accounting guidance for new products and services; partner with product, marketing, finance, and IT.
Maintain and enforce ASC 606 revenue recognition policies; document evolving positions as models change.
Conduct technical accounting research and provide clear, actionable guidance.
Ensure accurate systemic and manual revenue processes; strengthen controls and forecasting.
Support M&A due diligence and accounting treatment assessments.
Deliver training to business leaders and cross-functional teams on revenue principles.
Monitor evolving accounting standards and update policies accordingly.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
7+ years of revenue/technical accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Public accounting or internal audit background a plus.
ERP experience (Oracle R12 preferred); familiarity with Blackline, ClickSense, D-Bill, and integrated revenue tools.
