We are looking for detail-driven accounting professional with a sharp eye for accuracy, a proactive mindset, and a passion for improving financial processes? We're looking for a Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP/AR) Specialist to join our growing finance team and take ownership of the full-cycle AP and AR functions. This is a key role that directly impacts cash flow, vendor relations, customer billing, and financial integrity.

What You'll Be Responsible ForAccounts Payable

• Oversee end-to-end AP process including invoice matching, coding, approvals, and payments (EFT, wire, cheque).
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate payment terms when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax requirements, and audit standards.
• Perform weekly cash disbursement planning and aging analysis.
• Maintain and reconcile vendor sub-ledgers with the general ledger.

Accounts Receivable

• Own the customer invoicing process: from billing setup to issuing high-volume, accurate invoices.
• Manage credit and collections processes to reduce aging receivables.
• Proactively follow up with clients and internal teams to resolve disputes and ensure timely payment.
• Track AR aging reports and provide weekly cash inflow projections.
• Analyze payment trends and recommend credit limits or risk strategies.

Cross-Functional & Strategic Support

• Collaborate closely with Procurement, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure financial alignment and accuracy.
• Assist in month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance reporting capabilities.
• Support internal and external audits with detailed documentation and reconciliations.
• Contribute to financial reporting and budgeting support as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 2-3 years of progressive experience in full-cycle AP/AR.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERP).
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations, data analysis).
• Experience managing high-volume transactions.
• Knowledge of Canadian tax regulations (HST/GST, source deductions).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize deadlines, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Clear communication skills with a customer service mindset, both internal and external.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
