This opportunity is for an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to serve K-12 students in a dynamic school setting located in Burnsville, MN. This role is designed for the new school year on a contract basis, ideal for educators passionate about supporting students with diverse physical and developmental needs.

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certification in Physical Education with specialization or endorsement in Adaptive Physical Education
• Experience working with K-12 students with varying abilities and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong knowledge of adaptive physical education techniques and inclusive teaching strategies
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with educators, therapists, and families
• Ability to develop and implement customized physical education programs that promote student participation and growth

Location:

• Burnsville, Minnesota, serving a K-12 educational environment

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver adaptive physical education lessons tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities
• Assess student progress and modify programming accordingly to enhance accessibility and achievement
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other support staff to integrate physical activity goals within individualized education plans
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and physical development
• Track and report on student outcomes and communicate regularly with parents and school staff about student progress
