Job Overview

Scriveiner is a British brand founded in 2019 and our simple goal of becoming the worlds best supplier of affordable luxury pens has seen us sell over 1 million pens both on-line and in select stores across the US.

As part of our growth strategy on Amazon, we are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Amazon PPC Specialist to focus on driving growth and visibility in the Japanese marketplace. The ideal candidate will combine strong expertise in Amazon Advertising, SEO optimisation, and market research with a deep understanding of Japanese consumer behaviour and language.

This role requires someone who can has significant knowledge of Amazon ads and is able to work closely with our Ads Manager and contribute effectively to our keyword research and performance analysis. While also supporting localisation efforts to ensure accuracy and relevance for the Japan market.

Key Responsibilities

Product Listing Management

• Conduct ongoing keyword research in Japanese to ensure optimal search visibility (familiarity with Helium 10 is a plus).
• Optimise product titles, bullet points, descriptions, and backend keywords to align with market trends and customer search intent.
• Monitor keyword rankings and listing performance within our specific categories, suggesting improvements where necessary.
• Audit listings regularly to ensure compliance with Amazon Japan’s guidelines.

Amazon PPC & Advertising

• Plan, and assist in managagement of Amazon Sponsored Ads campaigns (Sponsored Products, Brands, Display) tailored to the Japan market.
• Perform daily/weekly reviews of campaigns, giving recommendations on bids, budgets, placements, and targeting to help improve ACOS/ROAS.
• Analyse advertising reports and customer search term data to uncover growth opportunities.
• Develop strategies to expand visibility while maintaining profitability.

Review & Brand Reputation Management

• Track incoming customer reviews, flagging recurring issues or potential product concerns to the wider team.
• Monitor ratings and competitor feedback to identify opportunities for product or content improvement.

Market & Competitor Research

• Stay up-to-date with Amazon Japan marketplace trends , algorithm updates, and category performance benchmarks.
• Conduct competitor research to analyse pricing, product positioning, and advertising strategies.
• Provide insights to support product development and expansion initiatives.

Translation & Localisation

• Assist with translation of product listings, ad copy, and brand content to ensure accuracy and cultural relevance.
• Ensure SEO keywords and advertising campaigns are appropriately adapted for the Japanese audience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align global brand strategy with local market nuances.

Ideal Profile

Requirements

• Proven experience managing Amazon PPC campaigns (ideally in the Japan market or with Japanese-language products).
• Strong knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and Advertising Console .
• Proficiency in Japanese (native or fluent) and English (professional level) for communication and reporting.
• Solid understanding of Amazon SEO and on-page optimisation best practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make actionable recommendations.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Skills & Tools

• Experience using Helium 10 (H10) , Jungle Scout , or MerchantWords for keyword research.
• Familiarity with Amazon Brand Analytics , Search Query Performance Dashboard , and Business Reports .
• Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets for reporting and data analysis (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
• Experience with translation/localisation tools or working with bilingual content.
• Understanding of Japanese e-commerce trends, customer behaviours, and cultural nuances.
