Job Summary
The Assistant Golf Superintendent will support the Golf Superintendent in overseeing the daily maintenance operations of both golf courses, ensuring that all areas, including greens, tees, fairways, and roughs are maintained to the highest standards. This position involves planning, supervising, and executing the maintenance work plan developed by the Golf Superintendent and the management team. The Assistant Golf Superintendent will also manage personnel, handle training and development, conduct regular inspections, and maintain accurate records, all while ensuring compliance with safety, maintenance, and customer service standards.
Education & Experience:
• College graduate (preferably in turf management, horticulture, or a related field).
• Prior golf course maintenance experience preferred, with knowledge of golf course operations and agronomy.
• Experience working in an upscale resort or high-end golf facilities is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in computer programs, including ADACO, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• Strong customer service and satisfaction orientation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift, carry, pull, or push up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to stand or sit for long periods.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
