This rolling freelance assignment places you at the centre of enterprise-grade events for a global event technology provider across virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats. You’ll combine platform configuration, client service, and live delivery to create seamless attendee experiences—often in fast-moving life sciences and professional services environments.
Core responsibilities
Platform build & configuration (≈35%) : Build, configure, and launch web/mobile event apps with precision across registration, content, engagement, and streaming modules.
Client & stakeholder management (≈20%) : Lead clear, timely communications with senior stakeholders; run kick-offs, status updates, and risk/issue logs.
Live event delivery (≈40%) : Coordinate rehearsals, speaker briefings, audience engagement tools, vendor & AV partners, badge printing, check-in, and onsite logistics.
Post-event insight (≈5%) : Support post-event comms, analyse event data, and surface practical recommendations.
Success milestones
Month 1: Complete platform training/certification, shadow live projects, contribute to delivery.
By Month 3: Independently lead your first event; run kick-off calls; receive positive client feedback.
By Month 6: Confidently manage multiple virtual and onsite events with consistently high satisfaction scores.
Experience: Proven end-to-end B2B event delivery (webinars, conferences, trade shows, congresses).
Technical: Comfortable building/configuring modern event platforms (experience with Backstage or similar highly valued).
Coordination: Strong cross-functional skills with AV partners, venues, agencies, and internal teams; crisp timelines and documentation.
Execution under pressure: Calm, solutions-first approach when plans shift; meticulous attention to detail.
Languages: Professional fluency in Japanese and English (spoken and written).
Mobility: Ability and willingness to travel internationally for onsite delivery as required.
Nice to have: Experience in life sciences and the ability to analyse event data to produce actionable insights.
Pay: USD $31–$40 per hour (experience-dependent).
Terms: 45-day invoice terms , plus reimbursed travel costs when onsite is required.
