Business area: Support two areas Advanced Manufacturing and Mobility

Implement optimal mobility across land sea and air in society with diverse industries and stakeholders.
Support corporate transformation from a long-term perspective and lead from the automotive industry to the mobility industry and beyond.
The EY Advanced Manufacturing & Automotive team supports various management agendas and reforms to business issues for clients in the automotive industry which supports the backbone of Japan and the BtoB manufacturing industry in general and provides end-to-end consulting services that are close to clients from strategy formulation to execution and operational support.
As various changes such as technological evolution and the promotion of digital transformation accelerate in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic we will support the growth of our clients by providing consulting services with deep industry knowledge such as developing consultants with extensive industry experience and high consulting skills and utilizing the knowledge and experience of the global EY network and contribute to the realization of a better social environment efficient work styles and fulfilling lifestyles.
Recent project examples and projects to be assigned
Promoting support for management issues specific to each segment from completed OEMs and suppliers to new entrants based on megatrends such as EV shift and carbon neutrality.
Research on the growth of the mobility market in Japan.
Formulation of entry strategy for car subscription business in Japan.
Formulation of business management plan for auto parts manufacturer etc.
Promoting one-stop one-stop support from strategy planning to business reform and IT infrastructure introduction such as DX promotion in BtoB manufacturing industry CX reform and business portfolio review.
Support for DX concept formulation and business transformation digital platform construction for equipment manufacturers.
Support for creating new business for heavy industry manufacturers.
Support for device manufacturers to consider service-based business dels. etc.
Competitive differentiation factors / organizational strengths / areas to strengthen
Members with diverse backgrounds are active including engineers and planning departments of manufacturers consultants and pre-sales of IT vendors.
There are a wide range of cross-border projects including deal services such as M&A and carve-outs and roll-out & in for core system introduction.
We can provide seamless one-stop support from end to end from strategy to execution deals to PMI operations etc.
Skills/Career Paths
You can acquire a wide range of business reform IT implementation skills and advanced industry know-how.
High-quality and rapid document creation skills (PPT Word Excel etc.)
Medium to large-scale project management skills
You can advance to a senior title focusing on sales through business development that is close to the client.

Qualifications Requirements (meet any one)
Experienced: Manager or above *Senior consultant is also acceptable depending on career
Project management experience such as PM PMO
Experience participating in industry-level/system implementation projects in the target industry
Experience in proposal activities and building client relationships in the target industry
Experience in global projects such as roll-out & in M&A deals
No experience: Senior consultant *Manager or above is also acceptable depending on career
5 years or more of industry experience work experience
Experience in conceptualizing and promoting new businesses
Experience in data utilization and DX promotion
Experience in business reform business system implementation (business analysis/planning to various designs etc.)
Project management experience
Experience in promoting various businesses and dealing with governance at overseas bases
Other solid industry knowledge proficient work skills
Language requirements
Japanese: Native *For non-native speakers Japanese and English must be at business level or above
English must be at business level or above
Expected selection process
Number of selection rounds: 3 to 4
Other: Aptitude tests and case interviews may be conducted depending on the expected rank
