  Job Title: Capital Accountant

  Job Summary: The Capital Accountant will be responsible for the ongoing accounting for the organization and its subsidiaries’ leases, assets, and related financial activities.

What you’ll do

\n
• \n

  Performs accounting for leased assets for the organization and its subsidiaries.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Prepares periodic (monthly) journal entries to recognize lease accounting and fixed asset related transactions.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Review, record, and update the lease software for any new or modified lease contracts.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Review new contracts to assess them for embedded leases.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Maintains the fixed asset register in the ERP.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Record asset acquisitions, WIP, and asset disposals. Perform and document annual asset impairment testing.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.

  \n
\n
• \n

  As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.

  Performs other related duties as assigned.

\n

What you’ll bring

\n
• \n

  Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant professional experience or a demonstrated equivalent level of expertise.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Bachelor's degree in a Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Knowledge of general financial accounting, lease accounting, and fixed asset accounting.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Proficient with accounting software. Crunchafi is a plus.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Proficient in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as Oracle Fusion Cloud is a plus. 

  \n
\n
• Ability to travel up to 2 times per year domestically and internationally.
\n

Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $93,000.00 – $110,000 per year. The full range is $93,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
