About the Role:
A leading retail company with a diverse portfolio of well-known brands is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee its finance operations in Japan. This is a high-impact leadership role that blends strategic oversight with hands-on financial management across accounting, FP&A, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, FP&A, and compliance
Partner with brand leaders to drive financial performance and strategic planning
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
Ensure timely and accurate financial statements and regulatory filings
Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals
Collaborate with global HQ and cross-functional teams

Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience in both accounting and FP&A within a retail or consumer-facing industry
Strong people management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
Fluent in Japanese and English
Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
CPA, MBA, or equivalent qualifications preferred
