About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief People Officer (CPO) to lead its People & Culture function with a focus on championing the company's values and culture. The CPO will be responsible for advising the executive team on people strategy, leading recruitment and retention efforts, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. This role requires a leader who can connect with employees at all levels, from the field to the boardroom, and who is dedicated to building and maintaining a strong, inclusive, and engaged workforce. The ideal candidate will have a background in talent management, organizational development, and a proven track record in culture building and leadership coaching. Candidates for the CPO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 3 years' in an executive or senior role. A strong background in HR strategy, compliance, and a deep understanding of Hawaii's labor laws is essential. The successful candidate will be a mentor and coach to leaders at all levels, with a focus on improving trust, decision-making, and team performance. High emotional intelligence, humility, and the ability to build trust across diverse teams are key attributes. A Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or a related field is required, with a Master's degree and HR certifications strongly preferred. The CPO must be aligned with the company's mission and values, particularly its commitment to leading with heart.
