Iowa Colony operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The new City Manager will report to the Mayor and City Council. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing growth-driven municipalities and overseeing infrastructure and organizational development. Required qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field Five years of progressively responsible municipal management experience Minimum three years in an executive leadership role in local government or similar organization. Valid driver’s license Preferred qualifications include: Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) or related field ICMA Credentialed Manager designation Experience working with Municipal Utility Districts and major planned developments along with the capital projects and financing to support such investments Service in high-growth communities Residency: Residency within the City of Iowa Colony, TX, is required for the City Manager within a reasonable time frame, as agreed upon within the City Council following the start of employment, in accordance with the City Charter.
