Job Title: Class 1 Driver
Location: Moncton, NB
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm
Wage: $20.00-25.65/hour

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class 1 Driver to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of heavy commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials to and from specified locations, eg. Moncton to Darthmouth and back. This role requires adherence to all transportation laws, company policies, and delivery schedules, with a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Class 1 commercial vehicles for local and/or long-haul deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any defects.
• Secure loads properly in accordance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours, mileage, and delivery details.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods to clients and customers.
• Comply with all traffic laws, company policies, and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks (e.g., checking oil, tire pressure).
• Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a Class 1 or commercial driver.
• Ability to drive long distances and handle physical aspects of the job.
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read maps, use GPS, and follow route plans.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
