Job Summary The Clinical Quality Reviewer (CQR) performs concurrent and retrospective chart reviews on designated population to evaluate care in accordance with accepted standards of medical practice, hospital policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines. The CQR utilizes required criteria to evaluate the delivery of care and/or services. The CQR works with the Director of Clinical Quality Outcomes to develop the performance improvement plan for the system. The CQR is accountable for quality programs that uphold high standards of integrity and ethical behavior. Minimum Qualifications Degrees: Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Holds at least one of the following: Nursing – Associates or Bachelor’s Licenses & Certifications: Registered Nurse: State of Texas Basic Life Support: American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross approved program Work Experience: Three (3) years’ experience, with two years' RN experience and one year of clinical chart review and abstraction. One (1) year experience of quality or PI experience (Preferred) Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact) Writing/ Correspondence Writing/ Reports Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking) Proficiencies: MS Word PC Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Analytical Design Statistical Medical Terms Research Work Schedule: Flexible Weekends Holidays On-Call Eligible for Telecommute Travel Job Attributes Flexible scheduling with weekend, holiday, on-call availability, and potential telecommute eligibility.
