Job Description

The Mental Health Worker/Support Worker is responsible for providing support to mental health clients living in a licensed facility with a goal toward maintaining an optimal level of independence. The Mental Health Worker will provide support in all areas of living including meals, social, mental, physical, and/or spiritual, through participation in home and community-based activities. This home offers a safe and supportive environment where clients can acquire knowledge and skills that will assist them to eventually transition to a more independent setting in the community. We are looking for student nurses, care aides, support workers, or mental health workers to join our team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Training/experience in the field of Psychosocial Rehabilitation/Psychology/Community Mental Health.
• Training/experience in the safe use of psychotropic medications is an asset.
• Training/experience in developing and implementing activity programs, including recreational, life skills and community access and awareness.
• Possession of a valid Class 5 BC driver’s license.
• Possession of a valid Emergency First Aid certificate with CPR.
• Food Safe, Naloxone training.
• Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination & record of immunizations.
