About the Project:

The Eglinton Crosstown West Extension will bring the Eglinton Crosstown LRT another 9.2 kilometres farther west, creating a continuous rapid transit line from the east end of Toronto into Mississauga. The Stations, Rail, and Systems (SRS) package encompasses the design, construction, integration, and commissioning of key project components.

Position Overview:

Amico Affiliates is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control (QC) Manager to lead quality assurance and control efforts on the ECWE-SRS project. The QC Manager will ensure that all construction activities meet established standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements, while fostering a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage the project Quality Control Plan (QCP) in alignment with contract requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction activities, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project management, engineering, and site teams to identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
  • Review and approve quality documentation, including test reports, inspection logs, and non-conformance reports.
  • Provide guidance and training to site personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with external inspectors, regulatory agencies, and third-party consultants to facilitate compliance inspections and certifications.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of quality activities and prepare reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality trends, identifying risks, and recommending process enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in construction quality control/assurance, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and documentation standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environment.
