The Choice is a women-owned and women-led recruitment firm specializing in placing great candidates at mission-driven nonprofits and associations in the DC area. We're seeking a people-focused, business-minded Recruiter to support our team during a maternity leave starting this Fall through next May 2026.

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid/ Mostly Remote)

Duration: We are ideally looking for a candidate that can start in early fall for some overlap and training with our entire team. We can be a little flexible with a start date, but late August or early September would be ideal. The position would go until May 2026.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting: post jobs, screen, interview, submit and coordinate interviews until selection is made
  • Build strong relationships with candidates and clients
  • Support and consult employees throughout the assignment
  • Collaborate and support the recruitment team as needed
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of recruiting experience
  • Experience using recruiting sites such as LinkedIN Recruiter, Indeed, Idealist and an ATS is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Team-oriented, proactive, flexible and tech-savvy
  • Based in the DC area, with flexibility for occasional in-person work
  • Experience working successfully in a hybrid/remote environment
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to commit to full duration of the maternity leave (Fall 2025-May 2026)

Compensation: $35/h
