On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Data Migration Architect to lead the planning and execution of data migration and archiving strategies for a Clinical Information System (CIS) implementation. This role will provide subject matter expertise to define minimum viable datasets, ensure data quality and governance, and establish master data management practices. The architect will collaborate with stakeholders across clinical, technical, and compliance teams to develop mapping rules, transformation specifications, and roadmaps that align with CIS data requirements. Strong documentation, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Deliverable: Data Migration Strategy: Strategy and approach for CIS migration of critical data necessary to deliver clinical care in the new CIS, and how historical data necessary to clinical care delivery will be accessed post go-live.

• Deliverable: Data Archive Strategy: Strategy and approach for maintaining historical data required and accessibility based on regulatory and clinical need.

• Deliverable: Legacy Data Landscape Assessment: A comprehensive report detailing the data elements, volumes, quality, and interdependencies within all in-scope legacy systems.

• Deliverable: Data Mapping & Transformation Rules: Formal documentation mapping data fields from legacy systems to the new CIS, including any required transformation logic.

• Deliverable: Data Migration Test Plans: A comprehensive set of plans for multiple cycles of data conversion testing, including unit, volume, and data quality validation.

• Deliverable: Data Validation & Reconciliation Reports: A series of reports providing auditable proof of data accuracy and completeness after each test migration cycle, with sign-off from business and clinical owners.

• Deliverable: Final Data Migration Cutover Plan: A detailed, hour-by-hour plan for the final extraction and loading of data at each go-live event that may span multiple years.

• Deliverable: Historical Data Lifecycle roadmap: a detailed plan that lays out the steps/timeline for the data being migrated, kept (archived), and destroyed (purged)

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or a similar discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in data governance, data management, and data migration activities.

• Experience in a Data Migration role on at least one major clinical information system (CIS) transformation or replacement project (e.g., migrating from one major hospital system to another).

• At least 7 years of experience in data integration between legacy and new systems, information lifecycle management, and implementation of data standards.

• At least 7 years of experience developing and implementing strategic approaches to managing historical data, ensuring its availability and security.

• At least 7 years of experience working with stakeholders—including clinical, health information, technical, and business units—to collect insights on data and translate them into design decisions and strategies.

• Availability to start work on or about the specified project start date.

• Must not be associated in any capacity (prime or subcontractor) with certain restricted procurement opportunities due to conflict of interest.
