Key Responsibilities

As the Financial Analyst , you will play a critical role in managing full-cycle accounting and financial analysis for the company’s expanding distillery and entertainment division. Your responsibilities will include:

Financial Operations:

• Manage full-cycle accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank/POS reconciliations.
• Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate month-end entries and supporting documentation.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

• Conduct detailed budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Deliver insightful financial reports that help leadership understand performance, margins, and opportunities for improvement.

Inventory & Process Management:

• Oversee and enhance inventory management processes to ensure accuracy and control.
• Identify and implement process improvements that streamline accounting and operational workflows.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partner closely with operations and management to understand business drivers and provide actionable financial insights.
• Support annual audit preparation and compliance with CRA and tax reporting requirements.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:

Education & Experience:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience; experience in food & beverage, hospitality, or entertainment industries is highly preferred.
• CPA designation in progress or near completion is an asset.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with QuickBooks ; experience with Lightspeed or other POS/inventory systems is an asset.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability.
• Experience in inventory and cost accounting processes.

• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
