Type of products produced

  • Primarily focused on production of takeout sushi found in grocery stores through on-site kiosks or delivery. Also serves bowls, side items, and hot food.

Job Description:

  • Make sure food is prepared as per the Food Operating Manual’s SSOP’s and SOP’s.
  • Collaborate with government agencies to ensure that all standards and regulations are met or exceeded.
  • Ability to act independently as well as with a team to ensure that all standards and corrective actions are fully investigated and corrected.
  • Recommend changes to processes as needed to ensure a safe food product.
  • Analyze audit results, trends, and investigations into trends.
  • Perform quality control aspects as related to food safety.
  • Train and effectively communicate food safety policies and practices to all company employees.
  • Develop and maintain policies, processes and training records to ensure better systems.
  • Maintain all product safety programs and perform regular audits.
  • Provide leadership on quality programs and training with business partners, including product accountability, net weight control, HACCP, GMPs and CCP’s.
  • Monitor, report, identify and direct appropriate corrective/preventive action plans with cross functional partners (Operations and Production).
  • Act as primary point of contact and leads Quality programs and training at manufacturing sites: product traceability, weight control, HACCP, GMPs, Sanitation and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Facilitate sharing of best practices between different sites.
  • Provide audit support to sites and facilitate identified corrective/preventive action plans and develop strategy plan.
  • Oversee safety related compliance responsibilities of the position; lead ethically; maintain an environment where employees can speak up; ensure employees in area of responsibility understand the compliance responsibilities of their jobs and actively participate in the compliance program.
  • Ensure that product labels conform to government requirements and recommendations.

Salary range

  • $70,000-100,000
