FORKLIFT TECHNICIAN (ROAD TECHNICIAN)

Pay:  CA$50,000.00 - CA$100,000.00 per year

Our client is a 30+ years established family owned company that has grown and developed into one of the most trusted and accomplished independent material handling dealers within the GTA. Our office is located in Concord, Ontario but our reach extends from Niagara Falls to Kingston, to London, and up to Barrie. We provide material handling solutions to our customers by offering new and used equipment, rental equipment, maintenance, service and training.

This position requires the Forklift Technician to travel to customers sites to conduct onsite repairs and/or maintenance to Forklifts and Material Handling Equipment including: Breakdowns, Scheduled Maintenance, Annual Inspections, etc. Travel to customers and to the office will be required. The working environment is mostly an on-site setting, so we expect applicants to communicate well and professionally with our customers.

What we are looking for:

· A desire to Succeed!

· Experience in Mechanical Service and Repair – specific to Material Handling / Forklifts a plus!

· Background in one or more of the mechanical trades (Auto, Heavy Duty, Truck & Coach, Industrial Equipment)

What we are looking for:

· Maintain a professional relationship with customers

· Fulfill commitments and customer expectations

· Mechanical Experience (Material Handling is a plus)

· Clear and effective communication in English (verbal, written)

· Valid G Driver’s licence with a good driving record

· High School Diploma or equivalent

Salary & Commissions:

· Base Salary is determined from work experience and will range from $50,000 to $100,000 annually to start.

Licence and Certification:

· Drivers License G (Required)

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· 282E Certification would be a great asset but not mandatory

Hours of Operations: 

· Monday to Friday – 7:30AM – 4:00PM

Job Duties:

· Follow forklift operating guidelines and procedures

· Perform proper forklift inspection, servicing and repairs as necessary
