Department Overview
We are seeking a Front-End Web Developer who is eager to merge the art of design with the art of programming. If you are an engineer passionate about building SMART systems-Scalable, Maintainable, Automated, Reliable, and Technology-forward-then we are the perfect fit for you! Your role will involve translating UI/UX design wireframes into functional code that creates engaging visual elements for applications.

Position Outline
Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and other engineers to bridge the gap between graphic design, user requirements, and technical implementation. Take an active role on both design and technical sides, defining how the application appears and functions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret business requirements and deliver high-quality features at speed.
• Act as a front-end engineer, overseeing design, development, testing, and operation of new user-facing features for large-scale e-commerce systems. Make critical technical decisions in complex situations.
• Build reusable, flexible, and efficient code libraries for future use and contribute innovative ideas for system improvements (e.g., refactoring, adopting new technologies or architectures, optimizing JS performance through suitable techniques).
• Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Proven experience leading engineering teams of 5 or more members.
• Project management experience for Waterfall-style projects with a scale larger than 15 man-months.
• 5+ years of front-end development experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Front-end development experience with React, Redux, and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Web APIs such as REST, JSON, and CORS.
• Understanding of and experience with parallel and asynchronous processing (e.g., AJAX, Promises, WebWorkers, WebSockets).
• Linux investigation and operational expertise.
• Skills in software configuration management, including version control tools (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Experience developing and maintaining unit tests and integration tests.
• Proficiency in creating documentation, including design documents and test cases.
• Experience with coding and reviewing for performance, maintainability, and security.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to identify team challenges, propose solutions based on root cause analysis, and proactively execute improvement actions.
• Experience with ESLint.
• Expertise in implementing unit tests in JavaScript (e.g., Jest, Intern, WDIO).
• Capability to design front-end architecture from the ground up.
• DevOps experience.
