MEES International School, located in Bunkyo, is seeking a full-time teacher to join our friendly and dedicated Hakusan team.

About You

You are someone who:

• Is outgoing, independent, and enjoys working in a multi-age classroom
• Loves to sing, dance, and have fun with young children
• Is familiar with — or eager to learn about — the Montessori Method and Reggio Emilia Approach
• Works well as part of a team and communicates openly
• Brings creativity, enthusiasm, and attention to detail to the classroom
• Has patience and a warm approach when working with young children

About the Role

Your primary focus will be caring for our younger group of students (ages 1–3). Alongside your teammates, you will help manage the classroom environment and ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of all children.
Daily tasks include:

• Changing diapers and assisting with lunchtime and nap time
• Supporting classroom clean-up and organization
• Supervising children during free play and park time

In the afternoons, you will have the opportunity to teach our elementary students in the afternoon program. If you have a special skill or hobby, please share it — we love creating new programs around our teachers’ passions!

Working Hours

Monday–Friday, 9:00–18:00 (including a one-hour break)

Compensation

• Starting salary: ¥260,000–¥300,000 (depending on experience and qualifications; opportunities for growth based on performance)
• Transportation reimbursement: up to ¥1,000 per day
