About The Opportunity

The Health Support Aide has an important role within the health care team and is responsible for helping with daily routines of care and to support patients/clients with activities of daily living. The Health Support Aide has an important role within the health care team and is responsible for helping with daily routines of care and to support patients/clients with activities of daily living. The role may include: the provision of basic care, specimen collection and other support functions under the guidance and direction of licensed health care professionals.

About You

  • Grade 12
  • Any previous related experience or related education would be an asset
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures an asset
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention
  • Relevant first aid, first responder training i.e. St. John Ambulance course, HS lifeguard certificate, an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with patients/clients, hospital staff, public and referral sources
  • Competencies in other languages an asset

Hours

  • Permanent, Full-Time / 100% / 75 Hours Bi-weekly

Compensation And Benefits

$20.74 - $22.87. Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. ket Adjustment of approximately $XXX.XX biweekly. Eligibility for a Market Adjustment is reviewed periodically.
