Job Description

About the Role

Southbridge Health Care LP owns and operates several long-term care and retirement Homes throughout many urban and rural areas of Ontario. We are seeking an Immigration and Mobility Coordinator to manage and support all aspects of employee immigration processes, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. This role acts as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and external immigration partners, providing guidance and facilitating smooth transitions for global mobility and work authorization.

Key Responsibilities

Immigration Case Management

  • Coordinate visa applications, renewals, and work permits for employees and candidates.
  • Maintain accurate records of immigration statuses and expiration dates.
  • Liaise with external immigration counsel and government agencies to ensure timely processing.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure adherence to all immigration laws and company policies.
  • Prepare and review documentation for visa filings and audits.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update internal processes accordingly.

Employee Support

  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding immigration-related questions.
  • Provide guidance on relocation and global mobility programs.
  • Communicate timelines and requirements clearly to stakeholders.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Track immigration metrics and prepare regular reports for HR leadership.
  • Identify trends and recommend process improvements.

Talent Acquisition Support

  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to enhance candidate experience.
  • Assist with job postings and advertisements on career websites, job boards, and social media.
  • Participate in job fairs as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Relations, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in immigration case management or global mobility programs.
  • Strong knowledge of immigration regulations, visa processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, immigration tracking tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
