Job Description

We are looking for a Help Desk Technician for a full time permanent engagement. Role is fully on site in Downtown Toronto.

Job Description:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT support to all firm staff.
  • Address Help Desk tickets and provide personalized assistance for hardware and software issues.
  • Deliver remote technical support to end users as required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Help Desk issues, escalating complex problems when necessary.
  • Track, document, and ensure completion of all support requests.
  • Maintain Help Desk coverage during regular business hours, ensuring all inquiries are responded to and resolved promptly.
  • Support and maintain technical hardware including computers, mobile devices, phones, printers, and photocopiers.
  • Assist with workstation support, system implementations, and software/hardware rollouts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Information Technology or a related field from a recognized community college.
  • Hands-on experience with standard business technologies and applications, including:
  • Windows 7, 10, and 11
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • HP printers, iPhones
  • Networking (TCP/IP), Active Directory (2008, 2012R2, 2019)
  • Microsoft Exchange Online / Outlook 365
  • Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2019
  • Desktop and laptop configuration and support
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support users professionally.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and perform well under pressure.
  • Comfortable working independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems.
