Job Description

Job Summary A comedy improv instructor leads engaging, dynamic improv classes to foster creativity, spontaneity, and teamwork among students of all skill levels. They design and facilitate exercises and performances that enhance participants' comedic timing, communication, and confidence. The instructor provides constructive feedback, encourages experimental thinking, and creates a supportive environment that promotes playful learning. Candidates should have strong comedic talent, improvisational experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching and inspiring others in a fun, collaborative setting.

Duties

• Design and lead improv exercises and activities
• Facilitate engaging and dynamic classes
• Encourage spontaneous creativity and comedic thinking
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Provide constructive feedback to students
• Organize and oversee improvisational workshops
• Assess and track students' progress and skill development
• Promote teamwork, communication, and confidence among participants
• Collaborate with event organizers for performances or special events
• Stay updated on improv techniques and industry trends to improve teaching methods

Experience

• Previous teaching or instructional experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of pedagogical techniques.
• Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and foster a supportive learning environment.
