Syntegon Technology is a leading global process and packaging technology provider. Around 5,800 colleagues in more than 15 countries work for the Syntegon Group on intelligent and sustainable technologies for the pharmaceutical and food industries.

At Syntegon Technology K.K. (Japan) we provide a wide range of services to meet customer needs, including sales of domestically manufactured and imported machines for the Japanese pharmaceutical and food markets, as well as packaging materials, validation, and comprehensive services. Our plant is located in Saitama (~50min train ride from Tokyo) with around 100 passionate colleagues.

Job Description



We are looking for an intern to support our local inspection research and development team at Syntegon Technology K.K. (Japan). As Japan is the global inspection hub of Syntegon Technology, the focus lies on our local pharmaceutical inspection machines. 

  • You assist in the R&D process for new inspection technologies, from market research, over specification, development, testing, and documentation, up to creating sales material. 
  • Topics are chosen depending on your skill level, but may include new vision software tools, new camera setups, new inspections technologies, and artificial intelligence.

Qualifications



Your Profile:

  • Student in technical fields, such as physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, or similar major. 
  • Experience in working in a laboratory environment 
  • Good communication and collaboration skills 
  • Language proficiency: Proficiency in English Speaking, Reading, and Writing. Japanese language skills are not mandatory but considered as a big plus 
  • Flexibility and tolerance to adapt to a foreign work environment and daily life 
  • Independent, creative, and motivated way of working 
  • Basic knowledge in data processing and/or programming

 

Must be enrolled at a university or postgraduate school for the whole internship period(6–12 months)
