[ Your Mission ]

Junior Visual Designer

As Junior Visual Designer, you'll help shape the look and feel of Bokksu's brand across digital, print, packaging, social media, and more. You'll turn concepts into polished assets, support campaigns, design engaging packaging and merchandise, and keep things visually sharp and on-brand.

This role requires working at least 3 days a week from our Tokyo office in the Shinjuku neighborhood. Candidates must presently reside in Japan.

[ Your Responsibilities ]

• Visual Asset Creation: Create high-quality visual assets for marketing campaigns, social media, email, web, and packaging.
• Rapid Iteration: Execute concepts and iterate quickly based on feedback from art direction and brand teams.
• Brand Stewardship: Maintain and extend our visual identity across various platforms and sub-brands.
• Production Prep: Prepare and organize production-ready files for print and digital use.
• Design Systems: Help refine design systems and templates for smoother, more consistent output.
• Trend Research: Stay on top of design trends and visual culture — from packaging to pop culture to UI.

[ Your Qualifications ]

• Experience: Proven experience in production design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in creating integrated visual content for digital media.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Illustration and motion graphic skills are a big plus.
• Design Expertise: Strong understanding of color theory, design principles, and visual aesthetics. Experience in developing and implementing design systems is essential.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a methodical approach to design and production.
• Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Adaptability: Agile and responsive to evolving creative briefs and business objectives.
• Cultural Fit: Passion for Japanese culture and snacks and a collaborative spirit to work closely with our tight-knit team.
