Simmons & Hanbury are instructed by a private equity backed high-growth Fintech business on a newly created Legal Counsel hire based in Toronto, Canada

Key responsibilities

• Leading negotiation of customer agreements, third-party supplier contracts and other commercial agreements.
• Working on the contract lifecycle management strategy and collaboration with other teams in the business.
• Working with the Compliance function to counsel on regulatory issues and legal requirements.

Experience requirements

• At least four years experience in an attorney position at a highly ranked law firm or start up/fintech.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with a regulated backdrop.
• Desire to learn and develop under the guidance of an experienced and highly supportive manager.
