Overview

We’re looking for skilled Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician Generalist to join a high-performing lab team at a growing rural hospital in southeastern West Virginia near Marlinton. This full-time position runs three 12-hour day shifts per week and includes cross-training on other shifts.

Position Summary

The MT/MLT will perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, quality control, and specimen analysis, while ensuring accurate, timely results that directly support patient care. You’ll work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional support from a strong laboratory team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analysis, testing, and reporting in accordance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Conduct and monitor quality control and equipment calibration.
• Enter and validate orders and results in the laboratory information system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory workspaces.
• Collect specimens and perform direct patient care tasks, appropriate to patient age and needs.
• Support administrative and clerical duties, including documentation and communication with providers.
• Communicate abnormal or unexpected findings to senior tech, coordinator, or pathologist as needed.
• Participate in cross-training to support other shifts and lab sections.
