We’re partnering with a respected financial institution, offering mortgage and investment solutions tailored to diverse client needs. As a Mortgage Collection Specialist , you’ll play a key role in supporting homeowners through payment challenges while ensuring compliance and accuracy across all accounts.

In this role, you’ll join a collaborative Operations team dedicated to maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and customer care. Your work will directly support clients and internal partners, helping safeguard financial integrity and build trust through professional, solutions-focused communication.

This is a 6 months contract position with a strong chance of permanency after.

Your Responsibilities

• You’ll manage a portfolio of mortgage accounts, engaging clients with professionalism and empathy to resolve payment concerns and bring accounts current.
• You’ll document all communications accurately in internal systems, ensuring thorough follow-up and compliance with company policies.
• You’ll review loan histories, identify discrepancies, and recommend resolutions or legal actions when necessary.
• You’ll collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination between departments such as legal, underwriting, and administration.
• You’ll contribute to team targets by maintaining a high level of accuracy and meeting month-end performance goals.

Skills and Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an administrative, mortgage servicing, or collections role.
• Post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field (university degree an asset).
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to accuracy and compliance.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP, Cognos, Techcom, or FIS considered an asset.
