Position Summary

The National Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing key national accounts. This role involves developing strategic plans to meet sales targets, building strong client relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction. The National Account Manager serves as the primary contact for assigned accounts, focusing on driving revenue growth and maximizing profitability.


A day in the life of an Account Manager

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
  • Analyze market insights using tools like New Product Development (NPD) and Nielsen.
  • Communicate findings to develop strategies and drive sales.
  • Conduct business reviews with clients to assess performance and growth opportunities.


On & Offline Trade Strategy:

  • Implement online acquisition strategies for partners.
  • Drive eBusiness strategy and coordinate eContent implementation.
  • Manage relationships with national accounts and machine partners to tailor solutions.


Execution Excellence:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Coordinate promotional activities and ensure cross-functional communication.
  • Manage forecasts and stock levels, ensuring logistics operations are aligned.


Shopper Experience:

  • Establish visibility strategies and ensure Nespresso presence in stores.
  • Monitor competitive activities and implement category management initiatives.


Sales Growth and Profitability:

  • Focus on sell-in/sell-out performance and trade (Customer Relationship manager) CRM.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements to enhance long-term profitability.


Compliance:

  • Adhere to company policies and regulations, including Nestlé trade policies.


What will make you successful?

  • Bilingualism in English and French language skills are a requirement, as this position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market
  • 4+ years experience in sales and account management or business development managing banners/accounts within the consumer-packaged goods market
  • A valid full driver's license and a clean driving record are required, along with a willingness to frequently travel within the assigned territory
  • Post secondary education in Business, any related field or equivalent experience
  • Effective communication, negotiation and strong leadership skills are required to express analytics and deliver presentations to various levels within the organization and externally to customers.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent time and project management while paying attention to detail.
  • Motivation as a self-starter with the ability to think “out of the box” in an effort to secure incremental business opportunities.
