Summary/Objective

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and high-performance database applications on the Oracle platform. You will leverage your expertise in SQL and PL/SQL to deliver critical software solutions, ensure data integrity, and optimize database efficiency.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain complex PL/SQL code, including packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Write and optimize intricate SQL queries for maximum performance and scalability.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical designs and programming specifications.
• Perform comprehensive code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and bug-fixing of SQL and PL/SQL codes.
• Manage and create database objects such as tables, views, and triggers.
• Diagnose and resolve complex database issues, performance bottlenecks, and production problems.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, project managers, and clients throughout the software development life cycle.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies and standards.
• Contribute to technical documentation, process workflows, and production support processes.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle SQL/PL/SQL development (Oracle 11g-19c).
• Profound understanding of database management systems, indexing, and performance tuning techniques.
• Proven experience with database development tools (e.g. Oracle SQL Developer).
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle UDT (User Defined Types).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience with data analysis, manipulation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with SQL*Loader.
• Exposure to NoSQL databases is beneficial.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, during normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Little to no travel is expected for this position.
