Payroll Lead -- 6 month contract, remote

Summary - Someone with at least 10 years of Canadian Payroll experience and 5 years as a Supervisor. Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud essential as well as experience in a payroll implementation project It would be a 6 month contract and all work would be remote but MUST be based in Canada

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, planning, and direction to the payroll team
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll
• Create a positive and supportive working environment
• Drive forward process and reporting improvements, implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Ensure compliance with federal, provincial payroll laws and best practices.
• Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
• Collaborate with the implementation partner and ensure the needs of the CRS are met.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Subject Matter Expert in Canadian payroll and ability to communicate effectively to share this knowledge
• Possess at least 10 years of relevant payroll experience
• Have a minimum of 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience
• Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud
• P roven involvement in payroll implementation projects
• Experience with ADP and Kronos an asset
