Title: Profitability & Internal Pricing Associate

Status: Permanent, Full time

Salary: $87,000 annual salary, + 10% bonus, RRSP matching + 4 weeks of vacation

Location: Downtown Montreal, Quebec - Hybrid 3 days in office, 2 days work from home after a probation period

Our client is an international banking and financial institution with divisions located in the Americas, Europe, Asia,and the Middle East. They have established their first Canadian office and are continuing to grow.

They are looking for a Profitability & Internal Pricing Associate with knowledge of credit analysis in commercial and investment banking. Knowledge of ALM, Credit Portfolio Management, Risk Management or Basel regulation is a plus. The position involves coordination and cross-training with other members of the Financial Steering and ALM team (ALM, PIP, and the Financial Analysis team) in NY and worldwide, as well as Front Office teams, Risk and IT departments in the North America.

Responsibilities:

• Support management of the Business Pipeline Committee;
• Provide transaction/relationship optimization advice to front-offices;
• Help the team to perform independent profitability and strategic analysis of new deals coming to the bank books;
• Assist in coordination of the secondary loan sales advisory process.
• Responsibility for the organization of the Business Pipeline committee including ensuring scheduling of agenda, running actual meeting and crafting / distributing minutes as well as providing any applicable follow-up information.
• Support FO in better understanding capital, liquidity, EVA from an Economic and/or Regulatory perspective, provide advice on term-sheet/structure and how to optimize transaction/relationship.
• Function as interface among the various front offices and PIP on Business Pipeline Committee (BPC). Ensure proper maintenance of data in BPC related systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2 years of experience
• Languages: English, and French/Spanish is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven organization and planning proficiency
• Previous exposure to either of Financial Analysis, Macro Economics, Fixed Income, Risk Management or Banking
• Strong work ethic
