Position: Technical Product Manager

Overview

Our client's is pre-owned mobile devices.
As a Technical Product Manager, you will act as a project leader leveraging your engineering knowledge. Working closely with Product Managers from the business and marketing divisions, you will lead the entire lifecycle-from concept and planning to release and continuous improvement. With a strong technical understanding, you will oversee projects holistically and guide them toward successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Project management across services, products, and portfolios
• Translate business needs into requirements and reflect them in products
• Initiate and manage progress of Epics, coordinate dependencies
• Oversee QA, release planning, and Epic closure
• Plan, review, and improve development sprints, while enhancing engagement
• Optimize reliability, scalability, API, and data quality

Requirements / Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Business-level Japanese (JLPT N1 or above)
• 3+ years of experience in development project management
• Basic understanding of product lifecycle and technical problem-solving methods
• Ability to structure ambiguous requirements and drive resolution
• Strong communication skills (written, face-to-face, online)
• Ability to coordinate between technical and non-technical members
• Basic understanding of SDLC (VCS, CI/CD, etc.)
• Practical experience using Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Experience building web services / APIs
• Experience in developing Open API platforms
• Development experience with Go, Python, or JavaScript
• Technical writing experience
• Management of teams of 3+ members
• Experience in mentoring and talent development
• Business-level English (TOEIC 800+)
• Experience working in start-ups or fast-growing companies

Working Conditions

• Salary: JPY 5,000,000 - 12,100,000 per year
• Location: Tokyo Headquarters *Other locations may be considered
• Working Hours: 9:00 - 17:30
• Work Style: Hybrid (2 days remote per week, full remote not available)
