Right now , we are looking to strengthen our APAC Sales team with a Sales Manager - Japan. 

What you’ll do:

The primary responsibility of this role is to support and boost sales operations in Japan. You will be expected to achieve annual targets and expand key account business to be the top brand in the market. Working closely with the local distributor, you will drive sell-in to key accounts to drive business growth. You will identify and develop new business opportunities that play a vital role in sustaining and expanding overall business performance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Drive the sell-in to customers:
    • Develop and execute customer sales plans and forecasts, aligned with global, regional, and local strategies;
    • Make sure customers get the brand plans, sales materials, and support on time, and coordinate activities both online and in-store to grow sales;
    • Implement global channel strategy and manage local consumer plans with internal teams and the local distributor;
    • Plan and manage budgets and costs according to procedures and overall strategy.
  • Drive the sell-out of customers:
    • Closely monitor the market change and business development to give the right guidance to customers;
    • Work with offline distributors to understand their needs and balance the development between online and offline business;
    • Plan and execute sales driving marketing campaigns.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities:
    • Identify key business opportunities to improve our strategic Japan business roadmap;
    • Develop new partnerships to grow the business;
    • Build relationships with decision makers from key accounts in the Japanese CE (Consumer Electronics) retail landscape.
  • Take the local lead for how the brand is represented in offline retail.
  • Collaborate with the local distributor and channel manager to make sure we are always best-in-class on the shelves, pursue better shelf space and location in retail, and host product training seminars for the retailers.
  • Coordinate internal resources to support customers’ needs.
  • Share feedback with internal teams on local trends and market data from Japan.

Who we’re looking for:

You are a self-driven go-getter as well as a humble and reliable team player. You can juggle multiple tasks at very short notice. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and understand the challenges and opportunities that come with a fast-growing company. 

You probably have the following experiences & skills:

  • At least 5 years of work experience related to sales and/or account management, preferably within the consumer electronics field, especially within the audio category.
  • Any previous marketing experience is beneficial.
  • Prior experience working with the major CE retailers and lifestyle stores.
  • Prior experience working with global brands in Japan.
  • Native or working proficiency in both English and Japanese.
