As an Analyst in the Securities Services Sales team, you will be responsible for working together with senior members of the team on a broad range of tasks, which include assisting for client queries, requests, Know Your Client (KYC), strategic initiatives and event planning. In your new role, you will report to the Head of Securities Services Sales in Japan. 

Job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Japan Sales team and Sales lead to support client queries and requests.

  • Prepare sales presentations, respond to client Requests for Proposals/Information, and organize client events/trainings.

  • Assist senior Sales team members in covering accounts and handling day-to-day client inquiries.

  • Facilitate client account planning exercises, segment strategy, and industry/wallet sizing. initiatives for the China Sales team.

  • Manage the sales pipeline/regional projects through frequent communication with Sales team and Business managers.

  • Coordinate KYC onboarding for new account openings and/or existing account renewals, involving close communication with clients, Sales, and internal KYC supporting units.

  • Travel occasionally for business purposes.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Team player but also able to work independently (self-starter).

  • Strategic thinker and have strong analytical skills, business writing skills and detail orientated perspective. 

  • Project management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple deliverables.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively interact with internal stakeholders and clients.

  • We’re a global company whose primary business language is English and so fluency in English is required. Native Japanese languages skills are also essential. 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience as a Junior Relationship Manager / Account Manager or similar function within a financial services organization is preferred.

  • Knowledge on global custody, fund services and other securities service product and industry is preferred.
