As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in supporting the security-related needs of a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and controlling access points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter incidents and promote a secure environment. You will be a visible presence, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to everyone on site. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access points at the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
• Assist with visitor and vehicle management, including maintaining accurate logs and issuing temporary passes as required by site-specific policies.
• Help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity by maintaining a visible presence at designated access control points.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal procedures and site-specific guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify potential security-related concerns or policy violations.
• Support emergency response activities and communicate with site personnel and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by addressing questions and assisting with directions or site policies.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
