A career as
a senior data scientist in the commercial banking analytics team at National
Bank means contributing to portfolio growth by putting your expertise in

Your job

  • Develop predictive models and
    segmentations to prioritize new customer acquisition and optimize profitable
    customer retention
  • Design analytics solutions that
    support targeted campaigns, personalized recommendations, and cross-selling
    strategies
  • Analyze customer behaviors,
    transactions, and product usage to identify growth levers
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing,
    and product teams to translate data into actionable and effective actions
  • Track the performance of business
    initiatives using relevant and robust metrics
  • Drive end-to-end data science
    projects to improve customer lifetime value and reduce churn
  • Supporting data scientists and
    promoting analytical best practices
  • Present analytical results clearly
    to stakeholders to support business decisions
  • Ensure model compliance with
    regulatory requirements and data governance standards

Prerequisite

  • Master's or PhD in data science,
    statistics, economics, finance, computer science or any related quantitative
    field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in
    data science applied to customer analytics, sales optimization, or revenue
    growth
  • Expertise in segmentation,
    propensity modeling, attrition prediction and recommendation systems
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL and/or
    SAS, and experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of commercial banking
    products, customer lifecycle and CRM data
**The position will be based in Edmonton or Montreal, depending on the location of the selected candidate**
