Position Overview
Our Surrey-based client is seeking a SharePoint Developer for a 4-month onsite engagement to build and develop their new intranet site in SharePoint Online. This role will focus heavily on designing the structure, creating site components, organizing content, and setting up document libraries, templates, and permissions. The position also includes light SharePoint administration tasks and minimal WordPress configuration using the Divi theme if needed, but the core responsibility is the full build-out of the SharePoint intranet.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development and build of the SharePoint Online intranet site
• Design site structure, layout, navigation, and components
• Create and configure pages, lists, document libraries, templates, and content types
• Build internal web forms to support internal workflows and processes
• Manage user access, permissions, and basic SharePoint administration tasks
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand intranet requirements and translate them into functional SharePoint solutions
• Document site configuration, structure, permissions, and design decisions
• Support light WordPress configuration using the Divi theme as required
Must Have Skills
• Strong hands-on experience developing sites in SharePoint Online
• Proven experience building intranet sites from the ground up
• Skilled in creating site pages, lists, document libraries, templates, and user-friendly navigation
• Experience with SharePoint permissions, access management, and basic admin tasks
• Ability to build or configure internal web forms within SharePoint
• Strong communication and requirements-gathering skills
• Comfortable working fully onsite in a collaborative team environment
Nice to Have
• Experience with Microsoft 365 tools such as Power Automate or Power Apps
• Experience with WordPress (Divi theme) for small configuration updates
• Experience supporting intranet redesigns or migrations
• Basic understanding of networking concepts
