Job Description: Sr. Pavement Design Engineer
Location: Markham, ON (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead pavement design and evaluation projects, including new construction, rehabilitation, and life-cycle cost analysis.
• Perform structural and mechanistic pavement design in accordance with MTO standards and guidelines.
• Conduct pavement condition assessments, forensic investigations, and develop maintenance/rehabilitation strategies.
• Prepare detailed design reports, recommendations, specifications, and tender documents.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communications.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and technologists.
• Liaise with clients, municipalities, and government agencies to ensure compliance with Ontario standards and practices.
Qualifications:
• P.Eng. designation in Ontario (required).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Canada.
• Demonstrated experience with MTO pavement design methodologies, standards, and manuals.
• Proficiency in pavement design software (e.g., AASHTOWare Pavement ME, ELSYM5, KenPave, or similar).
• Strong understanding of material testing, asphalt and concrete mix design, and construction practices.
• Proven experience in project management, client relations, and technical leadership.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
