Job Description

One of our clients, a major oil and gas company, has tasked us with identifying a Training Project Manager to support the ERP Workstream of their US Utility Integration Project. This initiative is being delivered in two releases and involves coordinating training-related activities across multiple project plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting Training Project Plans, managing project documentation, and ensuring alignment across ERP and USUI project teams.

This contract role is based out of Calgary or Edmonton and offers a remote or hybrid work schedule. The contract runs until September next year, totaling approximately 11 months . Occasional travel to the US may be required to support project delivery milestones.

The Project Manager will work closely with the ERP Training Manager, OCM Project Managers, and the Training Team to:

  • Maintain detailed Training Plans for both Release 1 and Release 2
  • Manage a Resource Loaded Plan (a subset of the Training Plan)
  • Collaborate with the Training Team to update the Training Artifact Development Project Plan
  • Support weekly look-ahead reporting for training tasks across the Training Plan and OCM Master Plan
  • Track tasks using tools such as Teams Planner Board and Task on a Page (TOAP)
  • Uphold file management best practices to meet audit requirements
  • Facilitate checkpoint progress reporting and manage documentation requiring approvals
  • Schedule and support meetings, including pre-read distribution, recording management, and meeting summary documentation
  • Develop and document processes to ensure consistency across the team
  • Align training activities across multiple project plans in collaboration with ERP OCM PMs

Additionally, the ideal candidate will:

  • Contribute to the development of an improved ERP Training Repository/Learning Portal that supports both project delivery and long-term sustainment
  • Assist in creating a Sustainment Plan for ERP Sustainment Teams, focusing on training and access provisioning

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management or Coordination, with a focus on detailed project plan maintenance
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Proactive approach to resolving outstanding actions
  • Working knowledge of Power BI and SharePoint Online
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working across time zones in virtual environments
  • Willingness to work overtime during peak delivery periods
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, MS Project, and Microsoft Suite (Teams, Copilot, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Client-focused approach

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with large, complex projects, ideally ERP-related
  • Familiarity with Workday LMS
  • Prior involvement in OCM and Training Delivery projects
