Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Case Management position requiring 2 years of recent acute inpatient case management experience and a WA or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in an inpatient hospital setting within the Case Management department
• Serve adult patient populations from ICU, PCU, MedSurg, and ER; no pediatric, L&D, or NICU patients
• Typical caseload is 15 to 20 patients
• Utilizes the Epic EMR system; Epic experience is required
• Eight-hour day shifts, five shifts per week with required every other weekend rotation
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating may be required between nearby hospital campuses and occasional off-campus emergency departments; traveler is first to float if needed
• Main duties include acute inpatient case management, post-discharge planning, and resource coordination for adult patients
• Team support includes leadership, peers, and case management assistants
• Orientation lasts approximately 1 to 3 days with immediate patient care responsibilities; initial shifts paired with another case manager RN
• Business casual dress code; no scrubs required
• Free parking is available on site
• At least one holiday shift is required during the contract
• Breaks are required during the workday
• All requested time off must be submitted up front and is subject to manager approval
• Extra shifts may be picked up at other facilities within the health system
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

\n \n Requirements\n

• Current WA or compact RN license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 4 years of overall nursing experience and 2 years of recent acute inpatient case management experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Strong knowledge in healthcare financial and reimbursement processes
• Experience in post-discharge planning and familiarity with providing community resources
• ER and Utilization Review experience preferred
• Candidates with primarily pediatric experience are not eligible
