Job Description

About the Company

We are a leading Canadian retailer and consumer packaged goods company with a diversified portfolio across multiple sectors. Our operations include retail, manufacturing, and investment activities. With a strong presence across Canada, we are focused on growth, operational excellence, and delivering value through real estate, supply chain, and customer experience.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Vice President, Real Estate Operations to join our senior leadership team. This executive role is responsible for the strategic direction, operational management, and value optimization of our real estate portfolio — including retail, leased, and corporate properties.

The successful candidate will lead portfolio growth through acquisitions, redevelopment, new site development, and targeted capital investments, while also driving asset evaluation, improvement, and disposition strategies. This leader will oversee a dedicated team managing leasing activities and construction projects that support operational effectiveness and long-term business growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute the company’s real estate strategy.
  • Drive portfolio expansion through acquisitions, new builds, and redevelopment.
  • Oversee leasing negotiations, renewals, and asset management.
  • Lead capital projects from site selection to completion, ensuring budgets, timelines, and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with internal leaders and external partners, including landlords, developers, municipalities, architects, and contractors.
  • Provide leadership to the real estate and construction team, fostering a high-performance, results-driven culture.
  • Monitor ROI and manage project costs through disciplined financial oversight.
  • Advise senior executives on real estate opportunities and risks, presenting portfolio updates to leadership.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years in senior real estate leadership within a multi-site or retail organization.
  • Proven track record managing large property portfolios (100+ locations).
  • Strong expertise in leasing, acquisitions, development, site selection, and project management.
  • Demonstrated success delivering capital projects on time and within budget.
  • In-depth knowledge of zoning, permitting, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field (professional certifications an asset).

Why Join Us

  • Competitive executive-level compensation and performance-based incentives.
  • Comprehensive health, wellness, and retirement benefits.
  • Opportunities to make a lasting impact through strategic growth initiatives.
  • A dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where your voice and leadership matter.
