The Job!

As the Manager, you are responsible for the smooth operations within the warehouse and the lumber yard. You will:

• Lead and supervise team members
• Offer mentorship and guidance to help team succeed
• Determine schedules and assign workloads
• Coordinate and review logistics including delivery
• Monitor delivery fleet and ensure timely service
• Review and optimize delivery routes
• Manage inventory including received shipments and logged stock
• Maintain organization of products for efficient picking
• Identify service concerns or delays and implement solutions
• Drive process improvement to enhance operations and customer experience

What you bring to the job

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate has the following:

• Leadership experience in a similar environment, overseeing operations with best practices in safety
• Strong working knowledge of effective processes within lumber yards and/or warehouses
• Excellent organizational skills in staff schedules, inventory management, and delivery operations
• Knowledge and familiarity with building/construction materials
• Strong communication and people skills with colleagues and customers
• Familiarity with scheduling systems and inventory management software
