About The Role Join Our Team as a Long-Haul Trucking Claims Adjuster! Are you a dynamic and skilled professional ready to tackle an exciting new challenge? Our Long-Haul Trucking Claims team is looking for someone just like you to jump in and make an impact! This offers the chance to play a crucial role in ensuring prompt and fair settlements for physical damage and cargo claims across Canada and the US. What You'll Do Here - Dive into both routine and complex claims, analyzing insurance policies to determine coverage and assess fair entitlements.
- Engage in timely and respectful communication with customers, brokers, claimants, lawyers, and other insurers to effectively resolve claims.
- Spearhead investigations and settlements of cargo and environmental losses, while managing cases that span across Canada and the US.
- Collaborate with our Bodily Injury team on significant losses to mitigate exposure and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
What You Bring To The Table - University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role
- CIP designation achieved or on the way.
- At least 2 years of experience adjusting commercial auto claims; Long Haul Trucking experience is an asset.
- Expertise in handling moderate to complex claims and practicing effective negotiation.
- Strong analytical skills paired with decision-making prowess and excellent time management.
- Knowledge of provincial legislation governing auto insurance; Atlantic Provincial Licenses are advantageous.
- A warm, positive attitude complemented by top-notch customer service skills.
- Atlantic Provincial Licenses an asset , must be willing to secure Atlantic provincial licenses
