Job description

• Perform Linux system administration work for OTEL SIP infrastructure.
• Deploy services and environments using Ansible automation playbooks.
• Maintaining infrastructure (patching, upgrading, troubleshooting, performance tuning).
• Manage OpenSearch databases (monitoring, backup/recovery, and performance health checks).
• Responsible for operation and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters
• Deploying and running Kubernetes jobs
• Monitor the health of pods, nodes, disks, and networks
• Troubleshoot failures in cluster components and across workloads
• Configuring and managing monitoring solutions using Prometheus and OpenTelemetry
• Creating shell scripts and small automation utilities for maintenance tasks
• Helping customers create pytest-based test automation leveraging OTEL SIP
• Provide on-site support for lab operations, working with engineering teams, vendors, and partners

Job Qualification:

• Extensive Linux system administration experience on CentOS, Ubuntu, or RHEL-based systems
• Knowledge of deploying and configuring services using existing Ansible playbooks
• Working networking knowledge (able to build and troubleshoot bare metal Kubernetes clusters across multiple servers, including provisioning with iDRAC)
• Bash/shell scripting skills to automate maintenance tasks
• Experience with Kubernetes operations (running jobs, monitoring pods, troubleshooting resources, etc.)
• Experience in database operations (maintenance, backup, management)
• Language skills required for customer service (Japanese: fluent and native level, English: business level)

Good to have:

• Experience with telemetry and observability tools
• Knowledge of managing shared testing environments (e.g. emulators, simulators)
• Knowledge of security scanning tools and software repositories

Language Requirements : Fluent level Japanese (N1) & Business English conversation skill.
